I started Flex Golf Tour in 2017 to give average golfers like me the opportunity to play in tournaments on MY schedule. With a wife and 4 kids under 8 years old at home, plus a great day job that I love (learn about Game Plan here, I help people buy and sell professional sports teams), I wasn’t finding much free time in my schedule to play golf and weekends were out of the question. I felt like I didn’t have a great reason to book a tee time and my improvement as a player stalled because I wasn’t playing at all. I then came up with a plan to build a “Tour” that would let me play rounds that matter, rounds worth booking a tee time for, at different courses in my area on MY schedule. I knew I could find at least 4 hours each month to play a round of golf, I just needed a good reason to book a tee time and play. Flex Golf Tour now gives that reason to book a tee time at least once each month and get out and play a round that matters.

Playing on Flex Golf Tour is good for my health, it’s good for my sanity, it’s good for my golf game and it’s been an AWESOME way to meet new golfers in my community and experience new golf courses within an hour’s drive. Sometimes I play a weekday morning round sweeping the dew and some months a twilight round on a weekday afternoon works best for me. The flexibility to play any day and time of the month that works for me makes Flex Golf Tour the only way to play fun, competitive rounds of golf.

We built the Flex Golf Tour app at the start of 2019 with live NET round scoring, tournament leaderboards and Tour standings to make it easy for players to enter their scores and see live leaderboards immediately. After hearing that many players wanted more community features, especially coming out of the pandemic, we have partnered with Heylo.co to enable a one-stop hub for each regional Flex Golf Tour club (no more Facebook Groups!!!) providing direct communication with other Tour players as well as signup and payment for Tours, tournaments, tee times and social events.
