What do the Costs of the Tour Player cover?
Flex Golf Tour USGA-affiliated Club Membership and associated golf handicap and perks for each player (cost and perks vary by regional Association and is paid by Flex Golf Tour directly to the Association). After upgrading to “Tour Player” you will automatically be enrolled as a member in your local USGA Allied Association’s Flex Golf Tour club and will receive a GHIN # if you don’t have one already. Sign in to www.ghin.com (or use the GHIN mobile app) to post scores and manage your golf handicap. If you already have a GHIN # you still MUST be a member of the Flex Golf Tour USGA-affiliated club in your region and you may qualify for a rebate from you local Association if you choose to be a member of multiple Association clubs (i.e. Flex Golf Tour and your local golf club at which you play in a men’s or women’s league).
Entry fee to your current local 4-month Tour for as long as you remain an active “Tour Player” level member. You used to have to pay $100/Tour in the Flex Golf Tour mobile app to join each Tour, but now all you have to do is upgrade to “Tour Player” and your monthly fees cover your Tour entry fees.
PRIZES for each 4-month Tour. Tour Champion wins a $250 gift code (think Worldwide Golf Shops or TravisMathew.com) PLUS the Tour Champion Jacket. Up to 30% of Tour finishers win a prize valued at least $100. You must be an active “Tour Player” member throughout each Tour to qualify for prizes, though players are able to join a month or two late if they want.
Priority Access to exclusive tee times and events arranged by Flex Golf Tour (find these in your local group on Heylo). Flex Golf Tour often purchases tee times upfront from golf courses in order to give Tour Players flexibility to book a decent time at a decent rate each month. We are often able to offer golfers better times at better rates than the public!
Flex Golf Tour mobile app (FREE to download). Download the Flex Golf Tour app (iOS and Android) after becoming a “Tour Player” to post your Flex Golf Tour round scores as you play, view the LIVE tournament standings and view the Tour leaderboard.
Heylo mobile app (FREE to download or just go to Heylo.co in your web browser) to communicate with other players and view and sign up for upcoming events.
Players are responsible for paying their own green fees, in some cases those fees will be paid to Flex Golf Tour (who paid the golf course upfront for the tee times) or directly to the golf course.
