Rules of Play

-Follow USGA Rules of Golf

-Putt everything out (no gimmies)

-To play Flex Golf Tour you must be a member of your local association's Flex Golf Tour club (for example the Flex Golf Tour SCGA Club in Southern California) and have an active and official handicap index as provided by the USGA's GHIN system.

-MAXIMUM SCORE on any hole is a Triple Bogey in order to keep rounds moving and keep it fun (so max score 6 on par 3s, max score 7 on par 4s and max score 8 on par 5s). Does this rule help higher handicappers you ask? Nope, not in the last 3+ years of Flex Golf Tour play. Each Tour/League is 4 rounds so players must put up 4 good scores to reach the top of the Leaderboard, so one outlier great score won’t determine the winner of each Tour/League.

-Play the designated tee (White, Blue, Red, etc.) wherever it is set up on each hole on the day you play your Tour round, you do NOT need to play the monuments.

-You must score your round in the Flex Golf Tour app as you play but please ALSO HAVE ONE PLAYER KEEP A HARD PAPER COPY OF THE SCORECARD WITH ALL PLAYERS' SCORES. Make sure your phone is charged at the start of your round to ensure you're able to score your round in the app for the entire round. If your phone does die during the round make sure you're keeping a hard paper copy of all players' scores and then input your scores into the app when your phone is recharged later in the day.

-Your score must be entered into the Flex Golf Tour app on the day your round was played.

-All scoring is NET (handicap adjusted) which the app will calculate for you as you play. So you know, each course and tee box has a different difficulty level and your handicap index together with the difficulty level of the course and tee box determine how many strokes you are given at that course and tee box (your "Course Handicap").

-You must post all rounds you play, not just Tour/League rounds, to the GHIN service in order to keep your handicap accurate and to maintain as fair a competition on Tour as possible.

-You must play your monthly round with at least 1 other player, doesn't have to be a Tour player, to keep you honest and promote fair competition on Tour while also providing the flexibility to play with a client, friend, colleague or family member. If your scoring record is questioned you need to have a witness to your scores.

-Players are their own rules officials and you should resolve any questions or issues on the course using the USGA Rules of Golf and your own honesty and integrity as a guide.

-Please carefully review your scorecard in the app before you submit your score to make sure your score is accurate. Compare the scorecard in the app to the paper scorecard and make sure they match. Submitting your score in the app is equivalent to the pros signing their scorecard.
